Baskin Robbins Night on Friday, June 4

As a contribution to my Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man of the Year campaign, Baskin Robbins in Silver Spring has agreed to give us a percentage of ALL ice cream sales this Friday, June 4 from 5pm to close (10pm); how sweet is that?!

So please bring yourself, your family, AND your friends to enjoy a cone while giving to an important cause to help us find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.

Please join us this Friday, May 14th from 7PM to 1AM at The Donovan’s House rooftop for a party benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thanks to the generosity of the Donovan House and their Friday night host Boris Gluck, we’ll be celebrating the magic of summer nights by putting together a special lineup of artists spinning the most amazing sounds of chill, sexy and upbeat House music. We also encourage everyone to bring your bathing suit to access the amazing rooftop pool. Table reservations are available (please contact boris.gluck@gmail.com for more info).

LLS Candidates for 2010 Man & Woman of the Year

About My Campaign

As most of you know, I recently accepted the nomination as candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 2010 Man of the Year. It is a HUGE honor for me to be part of a campaign that has made vast strides in combating all forms of leukemia and lymphoma. It is very humbling to say the least.

In honor of Andrew and Skyler, the Boy and Girl of the Year, each candidate must raise a minimum of $10,000 in 10 weeks starting April 8, but I can’t settle for just that. So I’m setting a personal campaign goal of $150,000, as part of a collective effort to break the $1 million mark in the DC area. But clearly we can’t do it alone.

So I would love it if you joined our team in one form or another, such as the following:

1) Planning & hosting events (securing venues, promotions, management of events)
2) Securing raffle and auction items
3) Corporate fundraising/sponsors (securing corporate donors and sponsors)

Now I know that we all lead very busy lives but whatever you can do to help will be incredibly instrumental to ending the battle against all forms of blood cancer.
